Grim's Dyke Hotel
An impressive Victorian house designed by architect Norman Shaw (who also designed the New Scotland Yard building) for the painter Frederick Goodall. W.S. Gilbert (of Gilbert and Sullivan fame) lived here from 1890-1911. The house is surrounded by 40 acres of garden and parkland and became a hotel in 1970. It was restored and refurbished by the present owners in 1996. It specialises in Gilbert and Sullivan evenings, at which there are performances of their songs and operettas. Miller's Residence
Miller's Residence is a small 18th Century mansion in Central London. The interiors of Miller's is what sets it apart from the other Residential hotels. The living room is filled with show pieces and decorative items picked up from the stores at the nearby Portobello Road. Royal Garden Hotel
The Royal Garden Hotel, on the corner of busy High Street Kensington, is just minutes away from Kensington Palace, with many of the rooms having lovely views over Kensington Gardens. This hotel has the distinction of being the only five-star hotel in Kensington just about every facility you could want is available, from limousine hire to babysitting. Set in the most happening part of London, this hotel garnered much press when a certain Kate Moss and Johnny Depp were alleged to have bathed here in the finest champagne.
